Clare is among a host of counties included in a low temperature and ice warning which comes into effect tonight.
Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow warning for all of Munster and Leinster as well as Galway, Roscommon, Cavan and Monaghan.
It’s expected to be “very cold” overnight and early on Monday morning with a danger of icy patches while some freezing fog patches are also likely.
The warning comes into effect tonight at 7pm and will remain in place until 11am on Monday morning.
A separate Status Yellow warning which includes sleet or snow showers has been issued for Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo.
