Nearly 400 children were born in Clare in the first three months of the year.

208 boys and 188 girls were born to Clare moms, who had an average age of 29.7 years.
Figures from the CSO also show there were 211 deaths here in the same timeframe, with slightly more males passing away than females.
Heart problems were the most common cause.
