Major concerns have been raised over the potential for a serious road traffic incident at a West Clare primary school.
It’s after a near miss at Kildysart National School last week, in which a child was nearly knocked down after inadvertently stepping out onto the main road in front of a passing car.

The building is situated on a hill and as a result traffic unfamiliar with its location approaching from the Ennis side tend to build up speed as they’re unaware a school lies ahead.
Principal of Kildysart National School, Kathleen Ryan says a collective effort is needed to prevent a tragedy.
