A Clare woman claims the Government is putting her sons life at risk by withdrawing his discretionary medical card.
Noreen Keane from Clonlara says that despite her son Ronan having a medical card since birth it was finally withdrawn in September following a 6 month appeal to retain it.
Ronan whos agd 8, was born with Down’s Syndrome and has 13 associated conditions his care bills come to 2500 euro each month.
The Taoiseach has failed to met Noreen despite having previously agreed to do so following a protest outside the Fine Gael Convention in Limerick earlier this year .
Noreen says the lack of a medical card is going to have a detrimental effect on her sons life.
