Plans for a proposal which aims to mitigate the risk of flooding in Springfield, Clonlara will go on public display today.
Following severe flooding in the area last winter, the OPW has decided to review and update flood maps and the options for managing the flood risk in communities along the River Shannon.
Today, a public consultation event – the latest such event as part of this review – will take place, and members of the local communities of Springfield, Castleconnell and Montpelier will be invited to comment.
