A Clonlara Councillor is hopeful upgrade works on water mains in the east Clare village will end years of hardship experienced by its residents.
Uisce Éireann has announced that works to replace approximately 300m of aged and damaged water mains along the main street in Clonlara will begin next Monday and are expected to conclude in mid-September.

The works will be carried out on behalf of Uisce Éireann by Shareridge Limited as part of the utility’s Leakage Reduction Programme.
Clonlara Independent Councillor Michael Begley says the announcement is “welcome” in light of a long history of water outages in the region.
