The Cliffs of Moher is moving up the league table of Ireland’s most popular tourist attractions.
The world famous North Clare attraction has moved up from fourth to third in Failte Ireland’s list of Top 10 fee-charging attractions.
Nearly 65,000 extra people traveled to the Cliffs last year, when compared with 2011, and it remains the most popular attraction outside of Dublin.
Bunratty Castle had been tenth on the list for 2011, but has lost that place last year.
Failte Ireland says the Guinness Storehouse is Ireland’s most popular paid for attraction, with it and Dublin Zoo both welcoming over 1 million people. The National Gallery is the number 1 free option for tourists.
