A Clare hotel has been named Ireland’s Best Hotel.
Dromoland Castle has the coveted top spot in the Irish Independent Reader Travel Awards, being praised as “class with a capital C”.
Members of the public have been entering their nominations for the prestigious award, with an expert judging panel selecting the final winners and runners-up from voters’ favourites.
Voters honed in on Dromoland’s hardworking team, with one reader saying that “as beautiful as the grounds and castle are, it is the people that are the true beauty of this magical place”.

This latest award for Dromoland Castle comes hot on the heels of being proclaimed Best Hotel for Sleep by Tripadvisor’s 2023 Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best Awards last summer, also voted for by members of the public.
