Clare’s Sinn Féin TD has given birth to a baby girl in the last number of hours.
In a video posted on social media, Violet Anne Wynne’s partner has confirmed that she gave birth in an ambulance outside Kilrush Golf Club today, while en route to hospital.

The first-time TD stepped back from her duties on the 17th of January to begin her maternity leave.
The baby girl is Deputy Wynne’s sixth child with a further three boys and two girls in the family.
Both mother and baby are believed to be fit and well after the birth.
