Clare’s retained firefighters will not close the doors of the county’s stations tomorrow following a decision from the Labour Court this afternoon.
After seven hours of talks, the judiciary body deemed there were grounds for a formal hearing between SIPTU & The Local Government Management Agency.

SIPTU represented the over 2,000 on call first responders across the country this afternoon appealing for structured time off and favourable pay.
The firefighter’s industrial action will be de-escalated to non-co-operation pending the outcome of next Monday’s hearing.
