Clare’s Oireachtas members are being urged to tell the HSE and the government to keep their hands off Ennis General Hospital.
Despite reassurances from the Health Minister about the future of the facility’s Medical Assessment unit, concern has been raised at Clare County Council’s monthly meeting that it’s just another empty promise.
Fears had been expressed that services would be curtailed following a review which is currently underway, but Minister Simon Harris has dismissed this, saying that additional services are being looked at.
