Clare’s Newest Councillor Already Preparing For 2024 Local Election Run

Clare’s newest Councillor says he’s already preparing to attempt to hold on to his seat in 2024’s local elections.

Postmaster Tom O’ Callaghan was formally co-opted on to Clare County Council this week after his victory at a Fianna Fail selection convention in Ennis last month.

He replaces Cloughleigh native Mark Nestor, who vacated the seat back in September to begin training for a career in the priesthood.

Councillor O Callaghan says he believes hard work will manifest itself into electoral success.
