Clare’s Lifeguards will be back on duty on the county’s beaches next month as the summer season gets underway.
Coastal spots, particularly in West and North Clare were thronged with both visitors and local residents over this May Bank Holiday and tourist numbers are expected to pick up from here on in.
However, while the weather has gotten warmer, water enthusiasts are being warned water temperatures have not and they are being urged to exercise caution if out swiming sailing or surfing.
