Clare's Labour TD says new legislation which sets a minimum price for alcohol won't be pushed through before the general election.

The Bill will be officially launched later today and is expected to include a floor price of 1 euro 60 for a bottle of beer; and 7 euro 10 for a bottle of wine.
The plan also includes rules forcing shops and supermarkets to store alcohol away from the rest of their products – and a ban on advertising near schools, creches and public transport.
Clare TD Michael McNamara is welcoming the legislation but he's been telling me that it should have been passed before now.
