Clare’s Garda Chief Wants Extra Gardaí Working In Every Unit

The Head of the Clare Garda Division insists it’s vital to allocate additional Gardaí to every unit operating in this county.

The county’s Joint Policing Committee has heard that since 2010, there are just three less officers working in Clare.

However, three are due to retire in the coming weeks, while a further two will soon transfer to other divisions, which means the shortfall will have to be met with some of the new recruits passing out from Templemore.
