Clare’s Fianna Fáil TD Apologises To Consituents Over Votegate Controversy

Clare’s Fianna Fáil TD has apologised to the people of Clare who feel let down following the Votegate controversy.

Timmy Dooley has been speaking publicly for the first time in a number of weeks, since the controversy, which erupted after it emerged that Niall Collins had voted for him six times in the Dáil.

A review carried out by the Dáil Clerk recommended no disciplinary action, but an Oireachtas Committee is continuing to investigate the matter and is expected to meet at the end of this month.
