While a further 58 council-owned houses, many in need of refurbishment, are lying idle in the county at a time when there's over 3,300 people on the social housing list.

The Environment Minister is due to bring his long-awaited plan to for dealing with the supply of social housing to the cabinet today and Clare TD Timmy Dooley has described the delay in dealing with the housing crisis as appalling.
