Clare’s Most Famous Matchmaker Surprised At Interest As Festival Goes Abroad

Clare’s most famous matchmaker says he was surprised at the level of interest in the Lisdoonvarna in the sun festival.

For the first time, the world reknowned match-making festival is will be held over 8 days in Cabo Roig in October, in the Alacante region of Spain.

Willie Daly will be bringing his 150-year-old ‘love leger’ across the sea for the annual singles event, which is the largest event of its kind in Europe.

He’s hopefult the festival will be back to normal next year, but in the meantime he’s looking forward to his trip abroad.
