Clare’s COPD Chair Says Government Has Not Put Enough Emphasis On Air Quality To Date

Clare’s COPD support group chairperson insists the Government hasn’t put enough emphasis of air quality to date.

The Environmental Protection Agency recently launched the new national air quality forecast service which will provide two updated daily forecasts about how healthy the air is for breathing and the level of key pollutants in each block.

Clare County Council received 25 air pollution complaints in 2022 with this type of pollution in the county linked to 47 premature deaths in the same timeframe.
