Clare’s Chief Fire Officer Warns Of Extreme Fire Risk This Bank Holiday Weekend

Clare’s Chief Fire Officer is urging people not to light fires or BBQs on forest lands or other high-risk areas this weekend.

It comes as the Department of Agriculture has issued a red fire warning for the Bank Holiday weekend, which means there’s an extreme fire risk, with easy ignition and rapid spread.

It follows high temperatures this week, which are set to continue over the next few days.
