A Co. Clare man has pleaded guilty to rape at the Central Criminal Court in Dublin.

The man is in his mid-twenties, but no further details can be given on his identity in order to protect the victim in this case.
The offences occured between 2009 and 2012, and today he pleaded guilty to rape and to another sexual offence.
He was remanded in custody and will appear before the Central Criminal Court in Dublin again next month.
