The first Clareman to summit the world’s highest mountain will be welcomed home at Shannon Airport later.
John Burke reached the top of Mount Everest last Tuesday and planted a Banner flag on its peak.
The climb was to raise funds for a new Clare-based charity set up by the Miltown Malbay native and his wife, actress Aoibhin Garrihy, to help support youth wellness in the county.
