Clarecastle is to star in a short film this weekend, as part of National Heritage Week.
A short film of footage captured in the 1950s of the local harbour will be shown in public for the first time.

Shot by an amateur local filmmaker, the scenes show when boats would bring shipments of coal and timber to the village quay in days gone by.
Eric Shaw, who’s a member of Clarecastle & Ballyea Heritage and Wildlife Group, says there’s nothing like having real footage of the past.
