Clare County Council is to explore the possibility of developing coach wash & toilet drop facilities at strategic visitor locations.
It follows a motion tabled by Fianna Fáíl Councillor, Tom O’Callaghan on the matter, which called for the provision of specialist rest stops in a bid to increase footfall in the business districts of small towns and villages.

In response, Director of Tourism , Leonard Cleary stated the council is carrying out a review of all sites with a view to making an investment.
Clarecastle based Councillor O’Callaghan believes the service would be a gamechanger for local economies.
