Clare’s longest serving community and voluntary organisation has unveiled plans for a new building intended to be its main location for staff training.
Clarecare is looking to build a two-storey community care centre in Tullyvarraga in Shannon which is to consist of a daycare centre, facilities for family support services and a training ground for the organisation’s support workers.
The development is largely funded by Ei Electronics, JP McManus Pro Am and Sunflower Charitable Foundation, with its cost estimated at €6 million in 2022.
Martina Minogue says the growth in Shannon’s older population in recent years means the centre can’t come soon enough.
