Clare Writer Longlisted for International Award

A North Clare writer has been shortlisted for a pestigious short Story award.

Mary O'Donoghue, who grew up in Kilkeedy in Tubber and is now based in the US state of Alabama, is one of three Irish writers in the running for  this year’s Sunday Times EFG Short Story Award.

The 19-strong longlist includes only three Irish authors other writers who have been long-listed for the Man Booker award, while the winner will collect 30,000 pounds sterling.
