Clare Women’s Network say women in this county and elsewhere are disproportionately suffering by being forced to work in part-time, low paid jobs.
Today is Equal Pay Day which represents the day on which woman begin working for free for the rest of the year.

New CSO figures show men in Clare are typically paid €150 more than women each week – eight euro more than the national average.
