Clare Women Urged To Open Up About Health On World Menopause Day

Clare women are being urged to open up about their menstrual health on World Menopause Day, if it affects their daily lives.

A new Unite survey has found that 60% of women in Ireland don’t feel comfortable discussing menstrual health issues with management at work.

The Irish trade union also found 28% had suffered a financial impact from taking time off due to menopause or menstruation issues, even with many products and toiletries available for free.

Chartered Physiotherapist for Women’s and Men’s Health & Continence from Kilkee, Aoife Ní Eochaidh says it is important to speak about the ‘taboo’ subject.
