Clare Woman Slams Draft Adoption Laws

A West Clare woman has slammed a draft new law on adoption, saying it treats those trying to trace their birth parents as second class citizens.

The new Adoption Bill is currently going through the Houses of the Oireachtas.

While it will give more than 50-thousand adoptees the chance to get their birth certs, it restricts permission to contact their families of origin.
