A Clare woman says speaking publicly about her experiences has helped tackle the taboo around pregnancy loss.
Laura and Emmet McAuliffe shared their fertility journey as part of an RTÉ Investigates programme centred on IVF, with Laura also documenting her experiences on social media.

At 28, Laura lost both her fallopian tubes as a result of ectopic pregnancy, meaning IVF became the couple’s only chance of having a child.
The Clarecastle native has told Clare FM’s Morning Focus they were forced to travel abroad for a second round of treatment due to shortcomings in the HSE service.
