Edna O'Brien could be in line to win the world's most valuable annual literary prize.

The Tuamgraney native has made the longlist for the International Dublin Literary award 2017, which is worth 100,000 euro.
She has been shortlisted for her latest work, The Little Red Chairs and is one of 147 books currently in the running.
The shortlist for the award will be announced in April, and the winner in June.
