Clare will have a Mayor once again.
The title was axed for county councils as part of the reform of local government but some large municipal districts, like Ennis have been allowed retain it.

The Cathaoirleach of Clare County Council has met with Minister Alan Kelly, who he says has reassured him the title will be restored.
Councillor James Breen is welcoming the decision as he believes the title of Cathaoirleach makes no sense to people living abroad.
