Clare Water Safety Officer Warns Of Invisible Threats Over Long Weekend

Clare County Council is warning beach goers of the invisible threats posed by waterways this Bank Holiday weekend.

The coastal waters are expected to reach around 18 degrees over the period, while scores of visitors are expected to dscend on the county’s lakes and beaches.

Although the water might look safe, the public are being reminded of the dangers of cold water shock, rip tides and sudden depths.
