Clare Walk Aims to Build More Inclusive Society for Autistic People

Communities across Clare are coming together next month to advocate for a society for autistic people that is accessible, accepting and affirming.

To mark Autism Awareness Month, the ‘Same Chance Walk’, which aims to support and give a voice to people in the county living with autism, will take place along the Two Bridges route between Killaloe and Ballina.

The event gets underway at 2pm on April 10th outside the Corlann building, in partnership with AsIAm, Ireland’s national autism charity and those wishing to take part are encouraged to register through its website.

Autism awareness advocate Ailis Conacur, who will help lead the walk, says charities like AsIAm are vital in creating a sense of belonging.
