Clare VFI – Minimum Unit Drink Pricing Will Have Positive Impact

The Chair of the Clare Vintners Association believes new drink pricing laws will have a positive impact for most people.

Minimum unit alcohol pricing was due to be brought in at the same time as the North, but the Government here is due to move ahead with implementing the Public Health (alcohol) Bill, due to the political stalemate across the border.

If the legislation is passed a 12 pack of cans would jump from €12 to €20.
