The Clare branch Chair of the Vintners Federation of Ireland says a 50 cent per pint increase from Heineken is a ‘hammer blow’ for the sector.
The beer company is to introduce a price rise on all of its draught products from the beginning of December.

It’s prompted calls in some quarters for the Government to introduce a maximum price for alcohol, having introduced minimum pricing earlier this year.
