The Clare Chair of the VFI believes a significant portion of pubs in this county may not survive closure beyond the next few months.
It comes as groups representing the hospitality industry have called for greater COVID-19 supports for businesses facing prolonged closure.

It’s not expected that hospitality will be considered for reopening until June at the earliest, with NPHET suggesting the summer will be focused on outdoor activities.
Clare VFI Chair Charlie O Meara, of O Dea’s Bar in Ennis, believes that even when pubs get the green light to open, business will continue to be slow.
