Clare VFI Chair Calls For Temporary Laws To Ensure Outdoor Drinking Is Legal

The Clare Chair of the VFI is calling for temporary laws to be brought into place to bring clarity to pubs serving alcohol outdoors.

It comes as the Garda Commissioner insists his members will use their discretion when policing outdoor dining areas.

The issue was first raised by Galway-based Gardaí with the local authority, with confidence having been expressed that similar problems will not arise in Ennis and other parts of Clare.
