Clare VFI Chair Calls For Outdoor Dining Waiver To Be Extended

The Clare Chair of the VFI is leading calls for the Government to extend the waiver in place on outdoor service in pubs and restaurants.

Measures introduced last year during the pandemic removed the 125 euro fee per table businesses were charged to serve customers outside.

Minister Darragh O’ Brien is understood to be considering extending the initiative heading into the summer.

Ennis publican Charlie O’ Meara says his customers have got used to the measure and want to see it continue.
