A Clare native working in the Vatican insists there remains no clear frontrunner to succeed Pope Francis.
All the cardinals tasked with taking part in a secret conclave to elect a new pontiff have arrived in Rome and have participated in a special mass this morning.
More than 130 will be involved in the process that can take as long as 13 days, despite the last conclave lasting longer than five days being in 1830 when Pope Gregory XVI assumed the role.
