A Clare Undertaker says he would be surprised if RIP.ie doesn’t introduce further charges for its service down the line.
It comes as the obituaries website confirmed it would be adding a €100 charge for posting a death notice effective from the new year.

The announcement of the charge comes just seven months after the platform was acquired by the Irish Times Group.
Daniel Kennedy from Kennedy’s Funeral Directors in Ennis expects new free providers will try to enter the fray, but doesn’t believe they’ll easily shake the household name.
