Clare Transport Provider Describes Funding Announcment As “Peace Offering”

A Clare Transport Provider has described a 6.5 million euro support package for Taxi, Hackney and Limousine Operators as a simple peace offering.

The Minister for Transport, Eamon Ryan has announced the funding to aid drivers in their recovery from the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic.

It includes a 3 million euro for the continued waiver of the licence fees in 2022 and a 2 million euro scheme specifically for taxi and hackney operators.
