A Clare Travel Counsellor is urging tourists to keep their mobile devices fully charged and to heed local advice if travelling to Greece.
It comes as thousands of holidaymakers, including a sizeable Irish contingent have been evacuated from the islands of Corfu, Evia and Rhodes amid rampant wildfires.
Although the fires have caused extensive damage to property and road closures throughout the affected areas, the Department of Foreign Affairs is yet to raise the level of recommended precaution on the archipelago for inbound Irish tourists.
