A new Clare Tourism initiative is aiming to promote more environmentally friendly community festivals and events.
The first of it’s kind in Ireland, the Green Festival Ambassador and Leader programme will train festival organisers on how to minimise the environmental impact of events.
This would be done by demonstrating methods of reducing waste, carbon emissions, and water and energy use, following on from the success of the Green Fleadh.
