Clare's tourism businesses are being warned that the sector's preferential VAT rate could be taken away if prices begin to rise.

The issue of prices has been in focus this week, as companies face the prospect of increased wage costs next year as a result of the 50c rise to the minimum wage.
This was criticised by a number of business groups, who say it will be particularly damaging for smaller firms.
However, as he visits Co. Clare today, Junior Tourism Minister Michael Ring has told Clare FM that it can't be used as an excuse to raise prices.
