Clare’s economy is hotly tipped to receive a multi-million euro injection when the county jointly hosts a major European festival.
Clare and Limerick’s succesful bid to host EuroPride 2028, will be the first time the event comes to Ireland and is expected to generate spending of up to €30m.

This year it takes place in Lisbon, with over 200,000 expected to attend.
Co-Chair of the bid coalition Eddie McGuinness says the social and economic opportunities are huge.
