A Clare Independent TD is one of two Deputies visiting a man who was given a prison sentence for the sale and supply of cannabis.
Violet Anne Wynne and Gino Kelly say Patrick Moore, who is in Limerick Prison, was donating the cannabis to very ill patients.

The deputies have slammed Ireland’s ‘outdated’ drug policy and believe it was wrong of the state to imprison Mr Moore.
Violet Anne Wynne has also complained that Ireland has ‘the most restrictive’ medical cannabis programme
