The East-West Interconnector power line, which links the Irish and English electricity markets, is currently out of service while damage repair work is carried out.
It's sparked fears of rising bills, due to a restriction of access to the European market.
Fianna Fail's Timmy Dooley has raised the issue with Energy Minister Denis Naughton, who says he doesn't expect a "significant" price rise during the repair process but Deputy Dooley isn't re-assured by those comments.
