A Clare Government TD is in favour of reconvening the Dáil to tackle the fuel crisis.
Excise cuts are due to be phased out from September 1st, which would see the price of Petrol and Diesel climbing nine and ten cent a litre respectively and likely soaring above €2 per litre.

The Dáil will officially return from the Summer recess on September 17th, sparking concerns of further fuel protests in the interim period.
Clare Fianna Fáil Deputy Cathal Crowe believes a rollover of fuel supports until budget day would be prudent.
