A Clare TD insists the Government must be held to account for the squandering of public money at RTÉ amid a cost of living crisis.
It follows the controversial resignation of the Chair of the RTÉ Board Súin Ní Raghallaigh last week after Media Minister Catherine Martin failed to state if she had confidence in her on live television.
The developments have sparked calls for RTÉ to come under the supervision of a comptroller and auditor general after it emerged the Broadcaster’s former CFO Richard Collins received an exit package worth €450K.
